Welcome to Delta “LONE STAR” Company. Delta Company was established 2026 in North East Texas at the Sergeant Major Downing Tactical Training Center. The Company is perfectly positioned to offer a convenient training location to warrior students in the north east parts of Texas, and southern parts of Oklahoma, Arkansas and north west Louisiana.
Delta is the newest and most austere company in the One Shepherd Regiment. Do not expect long hot showers and A/C buildings at Delta! The Lone Star Company prides itself in offering mentally and physically tough realistic training to our warrior students. Ruck marches and staying in the field are hallmarks of Delta Company! Pack and prepare yourself accordingly, the weak minded need not apply.
The Cadre
Company Commander (CO) – Brent Downing
Brent currently serves in the United States Marine Corps Reserves as the Battalion Sergeant Major of 1st Battalion, 23d Marines. He is a combat veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom, serving as a Marine Infantryman for the majority of his career. Brent is a black hat instructor in the One Shepherd Leadership Institute and operates the “Brent0331” Youtube Channel that focuses on Infantry related content. Brent is also the founder of the SgtMaj Downing Tactical Training Center that hosts individual and small unit level training to prepared citizens, military and law enforcement.
Executive Officer (XO) – Mike Klein
Mike is a long time alumni and black hat instructor at the One Shepherd Leadership Institute. Mike has participated in countless One shepherd training evolutions and events. He is the CEO of Small Team Supply and Klein Machining and is the creator of the Klein Machining AR-RPK, which is the primary Light Support Weapons (LSW) employed at the One Shepherd Leadership Institute. Mike has been a staple in the organization for many years and has a lead role in the development, maintenance and future implementation of a medium support weapon into the program.
The location
Operating out of the primitive Brent0331 Training Facility near Avery, Texas, this AO sits right on the rugged borderlands where Texas meets Arkansas. It is a stark, wilderness environment with virtually no modern infrastructure, choked by a punishing mix of dense and sparse forests designed to weed out the faint of heart.
Nearest Major Airport: Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is the closest massive international gateway, located about 2.5 to 3 hours west of the Texarkana/Avery region.
